BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART

The pure in heart see God in Christ's Light.
When we add something to grace or so dilute it that it becomes ‘self-made grace’, we continue in the lie that led to the Fall. This is the lie that God cannot be trusted along with the lie that something must be added so that we can be Godly ‘as gods.’ But the incarnation of Christ come among us as a human to die on the cross advertises that God is love; that He has our best self at heart and that we can be better than we are hidden in Christ than making for ourselves externalities that do not change the heart or include us in the Communion that is God.
EVIL UNDONE
Torrance writes that, “Right from the start, the promise is made that the seed of the woman shall bruise the head of the serpent. " The only answer to man's predicament is the destruction of the power of evil, and a recreation of the bond between God and man. But if the first creation was the creation of man in the image of God, THE RECREATION IS THROUGH AN ACT IN WHICH GOD CONDESCENDS TO TAKE ON HIMSELF THE IMAGE OF MAN. The whole movement of redemption adumbrated from the start is a movement of God coming to man in order to restore man to God, of God taking man's place in order to give man God's place - the principle of substitution and the principle of incarnation.” (1)
CHRIST EARNED YOU
The truth of this Gospel is that God has earned us in Jesus Christ. In Jesus the separation that Adam began has been undone and we are included in the person of Christ in the Communion that is the Trinity. So God is not contained outside of you, not limited to churches and Conferences and not only present when the gifts and the signs are on display. By the Spirit God is in you and with you as a state of being.
Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them’ John 14.23 NIV. Jesus’ teaching is that He is our life in the everyday and eternally. Obedience is living in the fellowship that is ours in Jesus and growing in the expression of Jesus as us.
We are already included in God in Christ. New Testament living is agreeing with Christ that He has included us in Himself and all that is His. Just live the eucharist as what it is – Christ come in our flesh. This is the Living Way in which we live as Life-Givers rather than spreaders of religion.
